Blast to the Past....

I was looking through all of the pictures that I have stored in my computer and I came across this picture...

This picture is from when we first met. It made me realize how lucky I was to have met such a sweet guy. I am so grateful to have him in my life forever. I just don't know where I would be without him. I love you.

I also came across this picture of the day that I went through the temple for my first time.

What a special day it was to be able to go through the temple with the people that I love. IT was such a wonderful day. I loved every moment of it. That day I realized more than ever how lucky I am to be apart of the Gospel. Both me and Stephen are so lucky to have such wonderful families. I feel so thankful for my many blessings.

The Time Has Come....

As our time in Texas is dwindling down and coming to an end we find ourselves itching more and more to get back to Rexburg. We cannot wait to experience another perfect spring in Idaho.

Since being married I have begun to understand more and more why the woman cooks. I came to the that conclusion, Stephen is a pretty good cook but has only taken the time to learn how to make noodles and frozen dishes and toast, meaning it was time for me to take matter into my own hands.

So luckily, while being up here in Texas I have all of the sudden felt the desire to cook and bake. I feel bad because when I lived at home, my parents got totally ripped off because I never cooked or baked. In fact, I despised it just because of all the effort and cleaning that it took. But I have now made a full 180 and absolutely love it now.

Here are new things that I have tried out...

Parmesan Knots:

Cinnamon Roll Cake:

Marshmallow Popcorn:

Pretzels with Rolos and M&Ms:

and Butterscotch Oatmeal Cookies:

I was surprised that all of these turned out as I was hoping they would. Stephen doesn't mind me experimenting on all of these different foods... he is the little taste tester :) Hopefully my other experiments turn out as well as these did.

I still miss my momma's cooking though....

Past Couple of Weeks

Just a week and a half ago Stephen's brother scored us tickets to a Spurs game on the 11th row! We have never had seats that good and so close. These were our seats...

The Spurs won, so overall it was an amazing game!!!

We both have been working Monday-Saturday and sometimes we have some down time and this is what we do....

And this is why I love him!!!

We are having a good old time in Texas! We absolutely love it!

Three weeks ago we were married! Seriously, getting married was the best decision both of us has ever made. We are so grateful to everyone that was apart of our big day. My mom did so much to make our big day perfect and special. She did an amazing job! I am so thankful for her and all of the the time and effort that she put into making our big day as beautiful as it was.
Just two weeks ago we arrived in Texas to live with Stephen's parents for both of our off-tracks at BYU-I. We figured that it was the smartest thing to do as newly weds with no money. Our plan is to save up all of the money that we make in our jobs for the next 2 months so that we have a nice cushion to sit on for when we go back to Idaho. We have the opportunity to work for Stephen's dad in his business. It is nice that we dont have to go job searching trying to find a job that would hire us for only 2 months....it probably wouldn't have happened honestly. It is nice being in Texas where we can spend time with his family. All that really matters is that we are with each other.
Yesterday was the real first day that I experienced Texas humidity. Let me just tell you it was as bad as I expected!!! By the time we got to work my hair was already flipping out and losing control. Lets just say that yesterday and today, I am missing Hemet weather and how dry it is! Wish me luck with this weather!
